Recapping the Excellence on the Road Workshop

To all the nurses who joined us in Dallas last week for our Excellence on the Road Workshop – we thank you for energizing us and reaffirming the importance of this work! The depth of the adult-learner participants was outstanding, as the group included System CNEs, CNOs, MPDs, Pathway Coordinators, Nurse Leaders, and a variety of clinical nurses.

Of the 20 sessions that took place during the workshop, participants enjoyed two full days of challenging discussion and unique perspectives on both the Magnet® and Pathway to Excellence® Program requirements, from baseline infrastructure through advanced, outcome-driven processes that produce exemplary outcomes. The participants left with a comprehensive understanding of data and nursing research requirements, document writing to meet the intent of the request, strategies to prepare for a Magnet® Site Visit, and Pathway to Excellence® Survey Validation preparation.

Aside from the food being plentiful and delicious, the workshop participants provided positive feedback on being afforded ample time to interact with the presenters during the sessions and privately before, during, and after the workshop. With every organization offering unique challenges, having the ability to provide all the attendees an opportunity to share questions, proud milestones, and even barriers proved to be of great value as fundamental requirements were discussed.

Abundant thanks to the HealthLinx Nursing Excellence Team for sharing their expertise and knowledge with the attendees! Thanks to our partners, Walden University, our attendees were able to earn 12.5 contact hours through the ANCC for their full participation in the event.

Stay tuned for information on where we will be offering the next Excellence on the Road Workshop. Don’t miss it!
