Free To Smile Scholarship Winner

HealthLinx is thrilled to announce the 2016 Free To Smile scholarship winner – Sandra Chaveleh. By being selected as this year’s nursing scholarship recipient, Sandra will be joining Free To Smile Foundation for their upcoming Guatemala Cleft Mission trip August 27 through September 4 to help impoverished children living in third world countries.

Sandra is currently a Neonatal ICU Nurse Manager at Tenet Healthcare: Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center in Houston, TX. Her years of nursing dedication and experience make her a perfect fit as the scholarship recipient, and we are excited for her to have the opportunity on this life-changing mission trip.

“It’s wonderful to see the interest this Free To Smile scholarship generates and the incredible nurses who apply,” said HealthLinx CEO, Julie Berry. “Sandra’s interests, experience and back story jumped out immediately, and we could not possibly be more pleased with selecting her as the recipient of this year’s scholarship.”

Sandra reached out shortly after receiving the news to share her appreciation for receiving this honor:

“I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me the opportunity to travel with the Free To Smile Foundation. This means so much to me, and I just don’t have words to thank you enough.”
