Ready to lead a high performing Women’s & Children’s service line at a nationally recognized organization?

A major New England health system is seeking a Senior Director of Women’s, Children’s, and Newborn Services to guide a comprehensive service line that includes labor & delivery, postpartum, a dedicated OR/PACU, and a high acuity Level III NICU. This leader will oversee a large, complex environment with 12 direct reports, including managers and educators, and a combined footprint of 39 L&D beds, 25 postpartum beds, 3 ORs with PACU, and a Level III NICU with 22 high acuity and 29 IMC beds.

This is an opportunity to shape care delivery grounded in ANA Scope & Standards, AWHONN, ACOG, and the ANA Code of Ethics—with the support of a collaborative CNO and a system committed to excellence.

Why This Role Stands Out:
• Lead across the full women’s, children’s & newborn continuum in a high-volume academic environment.
• Join a system recognized as a Baby Friendly Hospital, CMS Birthing Friendly, and ranked among America’s Best Maternity Hospitals by Newsweek and High Performing in Maternity Care by U.S. News.
• Influence clinical quality, operational performance, and strategic growth for a service line delivering ~4,000 births annually.
• Work in a vibrant mid-sized New England city offering big city amenities, a thriving cultural scene, and access to 9–12 higher education institutions.

The Preferred Candidate:
You’re an experienced women’s & children’s nursing leader with:
• 8+ years in the women’s Services line and 5+ years of progressive leadership experience
• An MSN (DNP preferred) and readiness to obtain ANCC Leadership Certification within 6 months of hire
• A passion for elevating maternal child outcomes, developing leaders, and driving system level excellence.

If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic, academically driven environment, we’d love to connect.
