Position Summary
The Emergency Department Director is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and daily operations of the Emergency Department. This role ensures regulatory compliance, high‑quality patient care, and effective departmental performance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and evaluating departmental policies, procedures, and standards of care
  • Overseeing staffing, hiring, performance management, and professional development
  • Managing departmental budget and resource allocation
  • Ensuring compliance with all local, state, federal, and DNV requirements
  • Collaborating with Administration and other leaders on planning, program development, and service integration

Reports to: Chief Nursing Officer
