With a nursing shortage looming, it has never been more important to cultivate nursing satisfaction, and happier nurses lead to happier patients.

This session focuses on fostering nursing excellence and other aspects of Magnet® culture conducive to improved nurse and patient satisfaction.  In this session, we define and discuss current and new strategies to bolster satisfaction in nurses and patients; describe characteristics of a Magnet® organization and Magnet® culture contributory nursing excellence and identify the impact on patient satisfaction; and discuss the crucial role the transformational leader plays in creating and sustaining culture supportive of nurse and patient satisfaction.

This session meets the needs of nurse executives, program directors, managers, and clinical nurses who are on the Magnet® journey for initial designation or redesignation.
